Jocelyn R. Taylor is a veteran executive in media and magazine publishing. She is an expert in brand architecture - - bringing proven knowledge and success in disrupting and impacting top brands, organizations, and Talent - - from the C-suite to celebrities in the luxury, lifestyle and tech space. In her last corporate role, Ms. Taylor was the Publisher and Chief Business Officer at VIVMag, an award winning, leading women's luxury lifestyle media brand. It was world leading in its revolutionary, 100% all-digital app, now commonplace today.

As the Publisher and CBO at UPTOWN magazine, she not only grew revenue and expanded reach, but also progressed social impact and culture within both upscale and marginalized communities. In 2010, she founded JRT Multimedia LLC, a full-service boutique consulting, strategic brand management, event, and media agency. Jocelyn has also held executive sales and leadership positions for Black Enterprise magazine, niche publications including Gotham, Hamptons and LA Confidential, and Odyssey Media.

The ‘big idea’ for “LayerUp!” started as a directive that Jocelyn coined and used throughout her professional career to reinforce confidence, courage and self-empowerment for women across all business disciplines. It has now evolved to a suite of program offerings and services that enhance engagement, connectivity, empathy, and accountability for ALL people.
